A handsome antique George III walnut chest of drawers dating from around the 1780s, with elegant mahogany crossbanding and the balanced proportions associated with late 18th-century Georgian furniture. Its straight-fronted form, line-inlaid caddy top and traditional bracket feet give the chest a refined appearance without making it feel overly formal.

The warm walnut colour and compact size make this a particularly versatile piece for the home. It would sit comfortably in a country bedroom, guest room or dressing room, while its manageable proportions also make it suitable for a hallway, landing or smaller cottage interior where useful storage is needed without overwhelming the space.

The crossbanded drawer fronts add attractive contrast and help define the chest’s classic Georgian design. Brass swan-neck handles provide an elegant traditional detail, while the oak-lined drawers demonstrate the quality of the construction and offer practical storage for clothing, linens or everyday household items.
