If you want an antique chest of drawers that feels genuinely different, this late Victorian mahogany piece is the one. It’s a high-quality furniture chest of drawers with a standout detail you don’t see every day: unusual brass drop handles with back plates shaped like a nautical compass star. It gives the chest real character without being flashy, and it suits everything from a relaxed cottage interior to a smarter, more traditional home.

The mahogany has lovely presence, and the highlighted crossbanding running around the piece adds a crisp, tailored finish that looks especially good in natural light. It works brilliantly as a chest of drawers for bedroom storage, but it’s equally strong in a hallway or landing where you want practical drawer space with proper period style.

Professionally restored, the drawers slide smoothly and the chest presents very well overall, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age.
