If you love proper antique storage with real presence, this early Victorian mahogany chest of drawers is the sort of piece you buy once and keep for life. It has a great low, wide stance that looks balanced and confident in a bedroom, landing, or even a larger hallway, and the rich mahogany tone brings instant warmth to a cottage interior or relaxed country furniture setup.

You get six generous drawers that slide smoothly, making it genuinely practical for everyday use—clothes, linens, accessories, paperwork, the lot. The white escutcheons were added at a later date, which gives a smart contrast against the darker timber and keeps the front looking crisp. It comes with a key, but please note the lock is not working; the key is kept in place to help open the drawers.

This piece has been professionally restored and presents very well overall, with minor age-related wear as you’d expect for an antique of this era. There is a crack to the top, consistent with age and use, and it does not detract from the character or functionality. A dependable, good-looking farmhouse furniture classic that adds storage without feeling bulky.
