This antique Regency mahogany side table is a beautifully elegant early 19th century piece, dating to around 1830. Made from solid mahogany, it has a classic rectangular top, a useful frieze drawer, later added brass drop handles, and lovely turned legs that give it that refined Regency character.

It is a wonderfully versatile piece for the home. The size makes it ideal as a hallway table, lamp table, side table, writing table, or occasional table in a sitting room, bedroom, landing, or traditional country interior. It has the sort of warm, understated look that works beautifully with antique furniture, mahogany furniture, farmhouse interiors, and cottage interiors.

The smooth sliding drawer is a real practical benefit, offering useful storage for smaller everyday items such as keys, papers, chargers, letters, or bedside essentials. The warm mahogany colour makes it easy to place, while the turned legs and brass drop handles add just enough traditional detail without making the piece feel too heavy or formal.

Restored and ready to use, with minor signs of age and wear reflective of its age. The brass drop handles have been added at a later date, which has been taken into account and described honestly. Overall, this is a smart, usable antique mahogany side table with strong period character and a very easy-to-live-with shape.
