This handsome antique small mahogany chest of drawers is the perfect size when you want proper period character without overpowering a room. Dating from the late 19th / early 20th century, it’s a classic antique chest of drawers with two short over two long graduated drawers, finished in a warm mellow mahogany that sits beautifully in both farmhouse furniture and more refined Georgian cottage interior schemes.

The top has a lovely rich colour and subtle inlaid border, with the timber showing just the right amount of age and patina. Each drawer runs well and is finished with later oval brass handles that suit the piece perfectly, giving it a smart but understated look. Standing on shaped bracket feet, this small chest of drawers is neat enough for a bedroom, hallway or living room, and works brilliantly as a farmhouse chest of drawers beside a bed or as extra storage in a sitting room.
